Welder Fabricator (TAIT Towers - Lititz PA)

The Welder Fabricator will fabricate weld and repair Tait Tower s products under general supervision. The Welder Fabricator will also perform basic TIG welding using hand controls working with aluminum and steel and is expected to have knowledge of hand and power tools. It is also expected that this position can read and comprehend blue prints and utilize read measuring equipment. Responsibilities Adhere to and implement proper welding procedures. Maintain accurate dimensional tolerances set forth on drawings. Produce quality product while focusing on given standards. Ability to read understand and follow blueprints and WPS. Handle heavy materials manually and with overhead cranes in a safe and efficient manner. Assure all welding is performed and documented in compliance with the Tait Towers quality assurance policies. Maintain traceability requirements by completing required documentation. Clean and maintain welding equipment. Adhere to all safety practices and report any unsafe conditions broken or malfunctioning equipment. Other non-welding duties on occasion as assigned (i.e. finish work paint prep etc.) Requirements Must be able to stand for extended periods of time Must be able to lift or move up to 50 lbs. Must be able to kneel on floor while working Must be able to bend stoop and squat Job requires pushing pulling and overhead reach Must be able to keep pace with work flow Must be able to work in small sometimes awkward spaces and positions Must be able to work non-traditional work schedule as needed Qualifications High School Diploma or GED One (1) Year Instructional Training One (1) Year practical welding experience Weld repair experience preferred.
