Hi all. This is Rocky. Rocky has a weird back story. He is a true war scarred Tom Cat from outside. He was vetted by PAWS and placed in a feral colony. Later was found not to be feral and pulled back inside. HOWEVER when he was pulled back someone had shaved him from the back of his neck on down. Weird we did see some big scars that indicated a recent serious leg injury. maybe he was hit by a car Local vets were contacted but no owner was found.. Anyway... Rocky is about 5-6 years old.. outgoing in a reserved way. sortof polite .. waits to be asked to come forward. HE LOVES being petted on his back and will stick out his tongue and make funny faces (and sounds) when you do so. See Video. Rocky is super athletic and likes to jump.. he has sortof a weird jump..sortof pounces with all 4 feet. He also likes puzzles. You know those treat things people most associate with dogs.. treat puzzles.. (where you hide a treat in a toy and the animal needs to shake it out) .. Rocky caught on to that INSTANTLY. This guy is full of smarts. Rocky was born with a smaller eye opening that normal.. so he is hard to photograph .. his eyes often do not show up...and he has a harder time seeing out of the corner of his eye than normal.His eyes work great just he has this small opening he has to see around. This is not a big deal and nothing can or needs to be done to fix it. Rocky lives with 2 adults and 2 other cats now... a Maine Coon kitten who is unable to walk well and a 9 year old calico declaw princess with an on and off again attitude. Rocky does fine with these guys and mostly ignores the other cats. He sleeps in the kittens bed however to keep him company. He would be fine with other laid non threatening cats but not a good choice for a dog or assertive male cats. He is also not a good choice for young kids. He would be best for a quiet to moderate activity home. Rocky is in foster at the director s house near downtown Naperville . .
