Responsibilities include Specific areas of focus include developing operationally and commercially sound All-Inclusive F& B concepts working effectively with property management teams external designers hotel owners and their representatives supporting pre-opening & hotel conversions. Additional responsibilities include the development of OS& E lists specific to each concept development of a concept strategy based on brand and type of market and to work closely with the development team to sell our Food & Beverage concept strategy. Thinks creatively and practically to develop execute and implement new plans or programs. Work with procurement and GM s on 5SU s to make sure that money is being spent to support F& B concepts initiatives and corporate direction of each brand. Gain a full understanding of each market where we have hotels and know our free-standing competitors as well as hotels. CORE WORK ACTIVITIES Key Responsibilities Design and Develop operational and commercially sound AI F& B concepts for the CALA region. Understand and articulate current food and beverage trends and what drives them. Build manage and maintain an up to date library of commercial sound food and beverage concepts Develop and maintain a project tracking process to ensure all stakeholders are up to date on the progress of each project. Help develop a pop-up POC strategy to test new concepts Deliver business results by creating concepts that can either drive revenue control costs and production or both Reviews product & service standards for food & beverage concepts. Manages effective partnerships with third party partners suppliers designers architects consultants and concept partners when applicable. Oversees proper controls to ensure that all third-party vendors and consultants deliver concepts & plans in a timely fashion. Conducts feasibility studies and produces concept development briefs for new projects Reviews and offers guidance on kitchen and bar design and specifications Operations Program Design & Development-The ability to lead and or contribute to establishing operational requirements using various inputs (e.g. market research brand) develop content that translates to product and service specifications such that programs can be executed in brand voice at the property level in an efficient & cost-effective manner for all the operations disciplines impacted by F& B. Performance Monitoring-The ability to use available performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of the various concepts diagnose issues and make recommendations for future projects Project Management-The ability to use a defined process to create and manage a project this includes defining and achieving success within constraints of scope time resources and budget. Project Business Planning-The ability to facilitate project planning approval and funding decisions using a defined process this includes determining resource needs and work allocation. Front of House & Back of House space planning Basic Competencies Basic Computer Skills - Uses computer hardware and software (Indesign and other adolbe creative cloud tools) Mathematical Reasoning - Adds subtracts multiplies or divides quickly correctly and in a way that allows one to solve work-related issues. Oral Comprehension - Listens to and understands information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Reading Comprehension - Understands written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents. Writing - Communicates effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience. CANDIDATE PROFILE Education and Experience 4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration Hotel and Restaurant Management or related major 8 years experience in guest services front desk housekeeping sales and marketing management operations or related professional areas. OR 2-year graduate degree from an accredited university in Business Administration Hotel and Restaurant Management or related major no work experience required. Minimum 8-10 years experience with a demonstrated ability to work in a large international food and beverage organization and hotel rooms environment. Strong presentation and public speaking skills exceptional project management and organizational ability with effective influencing and negotiation skills. Negotiating and deal-structuring skills (ability to influence and interface with outside contracts primarily owners and owner reps). Demonstrated understanding and use of market research and market trend information. Able to travel up to 50% of working time.
