We are potentially hiring for a qualified civilian 2 Physician Extenders(PA) in Urology and Orthopedics to join our team of talented professionals who provide health care services to our veterans and their families at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. Status Full-Time Schedule Inpatient Units are 24 7 and clinic hour are Monday Friday between the hours of 7 30am 4 30pm Excellent financial package designed to attract compassionate top performers Comprehensive benefits package to include major medical dental vision and 401k Malpractice provided with tail coverageThe Physician Extender-Urology must have the following qualifications Degree Bachelor s degree Education Graduate from an accredited college or university certified by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education of the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) Continuing Medical Education (CME) Requirements Health care providers registered or certified by national medical associations shall continue to meet the minimum standards for CME to remain current as prescribed in AFI 41-117 Medical Service Officer Education Certifications Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician s Assistants (NCCPA) as well as Basic Life Support shall meet all licensing certification requirements to perform as a Urology Physician Extender to include the following shall maintain current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers in accordance with American Heart Association or in an equivalent course based on published national guidelines for BLS which includes both learning and psychomotor skills portions. Web-based classes do not meet required standards. Licensure Registration Current full active and unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant as required in the task order license cannot be under investigation nor have any adverse action pending from a State Board or national licensing certification agency Experience As required to meet clinical competency requirements specified in the Service-specific credentialing instructions Must have at least 6 months of experience as a Surgical Physician Extender within the last 36 months in Urology Minimum of 2 years professional experience and a license in good standing Knowledge of a variety of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment the desired effects side effects and complications of their use as well as the accurate administration of the pharmacologic agent including dosage calculations as required Knowledge of the administrative requirements for proper documentation of patient conditions including disease progress acknowledgement of teaching and follow up care Due to contractual obligations with the DoD Health Care Workers performing under this contract must either be a U.S. citizen or as defined by the Department of Homeland Security U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services either a noncitizen national of the United State lawful permanent resident of the United States or alien authorized to work in the United States.You will love being part of the Matrix family of Providers whose focus since day one has been selflessly giving back to our hard-working and devoted military servicemen and women.
