Mechanical Engineer - Material Handling - Cleveland Ohio - JOB 22-00006Salary Commensurate - Permanent Position with Benefits. Cleveland Manufacturing Company is seeking a Mechanical Engineer. The Mechanical Engineer s key responsibilities are to develop creative material handling solutions and other engineered components. Manage projects from concept to completion. Work directly with clients ensuring projects are completed on a time.REQUIREMENTSBachelor s degree in Structural Mechanical or Civil Engineering Minimum 5 years experience in design engineering and detailing (Overhead crane experience preferred) Must have good problem-solving skills. Must have excellent communication skills Must be proficient with AutoCAD 2D & 3D Inventor for design and detailing Ability to create new designs and customized products Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook) Experience in manufacturing and structural steel fabrication desired Must be able to work in a collaborative team environment Must be able to do calculations Experience with ERP systems (Jobscope preferred) Experience compiling BOM s Can come up with new designs and customized products Must be eligible to work and free of any non-competition agreements. Key Responsibilities Perform calculations for the stresses developed in the structural and mechanical components of overhead cranes and runway systems. Generate 2D & 3D design drawings detailed fabrication drawings and bill of materials for overhead cranes and other material handling equipment using AutoCAD & Inventor. Work with other project team members in the engineering stage of various material handling projects. Review customer generated drawings and specifications as they pertain to the engineering design of the equipment or system. Design girders hoists trolleys Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen. Only U.S. Citizens or persons with a Green Card work permit may apply.
