Langley Flying School is a Flight Training Unit certified by Transport Canada to provide private and professional pilot training. Founded in 1994 Langley Flying School operates a fleet of 12 air-crafts and 2 flight simulators. Our mission is to provide safe and effective pilot training to encourage high standards in flying practices among our students including the promotion of professional-level pilot knowledge and skills and to continually develop our training programs to ensure that they meet the highest of standards in the flight training industry yet maintain an effective and informal learning environment.Langley Flying School provides training for Private Pilots and Commercial Pilots as well as pilots qualified with the advanced Multi-engine Ratings Instrument Ratings and Instructor Ratings. Langley Flying School currently offers two aviation diploma programs the credits of which are recognized by two universities in BC.Cooperating with a well-established Approved Maintenance Organization to offer maintenance service to light piston powered aeroplanes Langley Flying School is looking for Person Responsible for Maintenance. Qualifications Must possess Transport Canada AME M1 Licence Meet the CARs 573.04(1) Experience Requirements Ability to pass Transport Canada Person Responsible for Maintenance interview as per CARs 573.04(2) Excellent history with Transport Canada Experience in flight school General Aviation commonly used aircrafts (Cessna Piper Single Multi) Excellent problem-solving skills Excellent Oral Written Communication Skills Good computer skills including MS Word Excel QuickBooks and maintenance software Experience is supervising other AME Apprentice AME Must be legally eligible to work in Canada Duties and responsibilities This position will directly report to Accountable Executive Managing the AMO operations Supervising apprentice AME Maintain accurate maintenance paperwork Keeps current with Transport Canada regulatory requirements Liaison with Transport Canada Working closely with all the customers Ensure maintenance billing are accurate and tracked Excellent leadership skills able to manage the projects and meet the deadlines Work Schedule 40 hours per week Benefits Salary negotiable based on experience Extended Health Dental and Insurance benefit Company truck Company working phone To apply please email HR-staff(at)langleyflyingschool.com with your resume and cover letter.We appreciate all applicants for your interest however only those selected candidates will be contacted.
