Qualifications RequiredValid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification licenseAny of the following licenses certifications in the state of Michigan (MI) CCMACMAMANCMAOverview What you need to know - 13 week assignment- Full-Time Preferred but can work anywhere from 32- 40 hours- pediatric experience preferred- Giving immunization heel sticks possibly doing lab work rooming patients- Epic experience preferred- 1 year of MA experience preferred- Interviews will be conducted via teams and webex- Scrub color- burgundy- Worksite location is 14300 N Beck Road Plymouth MI 48170Schedule - Shift option 1 Mon 8am-4pm Tues 10am - 8pm Wed 8am-3pm Thurs 8am-4pm- Shift option 2 Mon 8am-5pm Tues 8am-1pm Wed 9am-5pm Thurs 12p-8p Fri 8am-4pm- Third Saturday of the monthRequired skills and experience 1. Collect and process specimens.2. Perform CLIA-waived tests.3. Perform electrocardiography respiratory and other testing based on departmentneeds.4. Perform phlebotomy including venipuncture and capillary puncture.Consultation 1. Serve as a liaison between patients and medical staff in the event of problems or complaints2. Schedule coordinate and monitor appointments3. Schedule outpatient procedures4. Apply third party and managed care policies procedures and guidelines5. Obtain insurance pre-authorizations6. Enters referrals for provider sign-offQuality Assurance 1. Participate in departmental divisional Quality Assessment and Quality Improvement Programs2. Practice Standard Precautions including hand washing and disposal ofbiohazardous materials.3. Apply principles of aseptic and sterile technique.4. Clean instruments and equipment per policies and procedures.5. Comply with all HFHS and departmental specific safety standards.6. Maintain compliance with regulatory standards regarding practice environment and documentationEducation - High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.- Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills preferred.- Ability to perform a wide variety of clinical skills as related to ambulatory patient care preferred- Ability to problem-solve preferred- Possess effective interpersonal and communication skills preferred- EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience preferredAdditional Requirements - Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160 hour minimum)OR- Graduate from a Medical Assistant program without completion of a clinical externship but with a minimum one-year experience in clinical medical assisting within the past five (5) years.OR- Current Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in clinical medical assisting.OR- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)OR- Licensed Paramedic Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years.OR- Military trained medical personnel with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years.Certifications - CCMA- Certified Medical Assistant- Clinical Medical Assistant- Emergency Medical Technician- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)- Medical Assistant Certification- National Certified Medical Assistant- Current BLS-C upon hire or successful completion by end of orientationPlease enail your best contact phone number email and resume to be considered.
