Currently we are looking for a full-time Cook who will be a good fit to join our team and continue bringing the Gratia s vision of community to life. Work Location 22225 Dewdney Trunk Road Maple Ridge BC V2X 3H8Position Title CookTerms of Employment Full-time PermanentEstimated Starting Date As Soon As PossiblePosition Available 1Wage 16.25 18.25 per hour (Depending on Working Experience)Work Hours 30 hours per week Benefit 2 weeks paid vacation or 4 % vacation pay Job Duties Prepare and cook meals and prepare dishes for customers with food allergies Maintain kitchen and work areas sanitation and safety standards Follow proper recipes and be responsible for reflecting customer s feedback Manage kitchen operations and ensure operations are smoothly working Supervise and train kitchen helpers and deli workers with respect to food preparation Plan and create new menus including soup of the day Ensure quality of food standards and determine size of food portions and estimate food costs Maintain food inventory supplies and equipment and order them when needed Qualifications Completion of secondary school is required Completion of a three-year apprenticeship program for cooks OR Completion of college or other program in cooking or food safety OR More than 1 year work experience in Commercial Kitchen would be a good asset but not a mandatory requirement Ability to work under pressure and busy kitchen environment Working knowledge of English Problem solving skills and prioritization skills How to Apply Please send your resume and cover letter by E-mail to Hyeok Sang (Leo) Kwon (jobs.siwon(at)gmail.com) with the subject line of Full-time Cook Position at Gratia Bakery & Caf (Maple Ridge Location).
