In this role you will Be a part of a crew performing concrete operations on highways. Direct assist and train crew members and operators. Calculate quantitiesusing basic math skills. Perform work within an established budget. Develop a positive work environment with a team approach and communicate effectively. Respond to emergencies such as snow and ice removal downed trees and traffic control cleanup etc. during normal business hours or during emergency call back situations and scheduled night work. What You BringA Class A Commercial Driver s License with N endorsement. Working knowledge of standards in road maintenance and road construction. Agility to work on uneven surfaces and slopes. Road maintenance and repair experience. Experience in maintenance equipment operations. Record keeping skills for tracking employees equipment time and recording materials used. NCDOT snow and ice operations experience. Work Zone Safety and NCDOT Workplace Safety Policy and Practices experience. Experience planning work and supervising work crews. Ability to carry out complete verbal and written instructions. Ability to communicate in English. Education & ExperienceHigh School GED diploma and 6 years of progressive experience or An equivalent combination of education and experience.
