Geranium essential oil

Geranium essential oil is extracted from the leaves, stems, and flowers of the South African shrub Pelargonium graveolens. Pelargonium plants come in a variety of varieties, but the graveolens species is the most widely utilised for essential oil extraction. The essential oil is extracted via steam distillation, which involves heating the plant material and collecting and condensing the steam, resulting in a concentrated liquid containing the volatile aromatic chemicals of the plant. The aroma of geranium oil is pleasant, flowery, and somewhat herbaceous.
