Work Location 3086 16 Highway East Thornhill BC V8G 3N5Position Title CookTerms of Employment Full-time PermanentEstimated Starting Date As Soon As PossiblePosition Available 1Wage 18.00 - 19.00 per hour (Depending on Working Experience)Work Hours 30 hours per weekBenefits 4 % Vacation Pay or 10 Business Days of Paid Vacation Responsibility Cook menu items from the menu Supervise and train kitchen staff and monitor their work performance Oversee the daily operation of the kitchen and coordinate the shift schedule of kitchen staff Clean and sanitize the work area Participate in menu planning and portioning of the dish and provide garnishment Ensure food quality meets the standard of Northern Motor Inn Monitor and manage inventory of food ingredients supplies and equipment and place an order in a timely manner Qualification Completion of secondary school is usually required Completion of a three-year apprenticeship program for cooks OR completion of college or other programs in cooking or food safety OR several years of commercial cooking experience may be required Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and a great team player Working knowledge of English.
