JOB BRIEFVFW Post 4833 is looking for an enthusiastic bartender to provide an excellent guest drinking experience. A good bartender able to create classic and innovative drinks exceeding customers needs and expectations. The bartender shall interact with customers assessing needs and preferences and making recommendations. We are a nonsmoking environment. RESPONSIBLITIESCollect money for drinks and snacks served.Serve Wine Cocktails and Bottled Canned Draft Beer.Interact with customers take orders and serve snacks and drinks.Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails.Cut and prepare fresh garnishments (Lemons Limes Olives Cherries etc.).Check customers Identification and confirm it meets legal age requirements for alcohol consumption.Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.Check and replenish ice regularly.Stay guest focused and nurture and excellent guest experience.Comply with all food and beverage regulations.Clean glasses beer mugs and utensils.Perform duties as outlined by management. REQUIREMENTS Resume and proven working experience as a bartender.Excellent knowledge of mixing garnishing and serving drinks.Computer literacy.Ability to operate cash register POS system.Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.Ability to keep the bar organized stocked and clean.Obtain TIPS Alcohol certification training (Online Course) WORKING HOURS Daily including weekends and holidays. Hours of NORMAL Operation are 10am until 2am depending onguest attendance. It is a flexible environment and we operate accordingly. Shirts are normally 9am to4 30 pm and 4 00 pm to Closing. An advance monthly schedule will be posted and you would beResponsible for knowing your shifts. SALARY ND TIPSThe position pays an hourly rate starting at .8.00 per hour plus tips. All shift tips are yours unless it has been agreed upon in advance that a shared arrangement has been made. This may occur in the case of special events when multiple bartenders are required. AN IRS Form W-2 will be issued at the end of the tax year.
