Civil Roadway Designer (Transportation) - Hybrid (Ohio) - Akron Cleveland Columbus OH - JOB 23-00169Salary Range 75k-115k Permanent Position with Benefits Local A& E firm is seeking a Transportation Technical Lead to plan and coordinate projects serve as a senior technical advisor on projects of particular complexity assist the project manager and serve as the technical lead and main point of contact with clients as needed. Projects may include trails roadways sidewalks green and complete streets and active transportation projects for ODOT LPA and Non-LPA clients throughout the state of Ohio.Duties Train lead and mentor the company s planning design engineering technical and construction associates. Present as the subject matter expert for specialized areas. Provide oversight related to the scope schedule and budget for assessment planning design and capital improvement projects. Perform and administer complex planning design and engineering work requiring exceptional professional training and experience. Perform long-term budget and capacity planning. Develop implement and maintain planning design and engineering standards including standard specifications and drawings. Identify project risks and monitor mitigate risk throughout the project lifecycle. Collaborate and regularly communicate with the Project Manager and other project staff on the status of work deliverables schedule and budgets. Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering Landscape Architecture Planning or a related field 8 years of experience Experience in trail and or multi-modal transportation or the motivation to learn this specialty is required Understanding of plan production design grade task management schedule and budget management PE PLA RLA AICP or other relevant certifications are preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office CAD and other industry-based software Travel is primarily local during the business day. Must have a valid driver s license and possess a driving record that will enable the employee to be insurable under the Company s standard vehicle insurance and general comprehensive liability insurance without additional costs Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.Only U.S. Citizens or persons with a Green Card work permit may apply.
