Summary Management Business Solutions is seeking a Project Estimator for its furniture client in the Grand Rapids MI area. This individual would be responsible for analyzing project requirements conducting cost estimates and providing accurate pricing proposals for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction or furniture manufacturing excellent analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams to ensure the successful execution of projects.Responsibilities Analyze project specifications drawings and other relevant documents to understand the scope of work materials required and project timelines. Utilize cost estimation software historical data and industry knowledge to calculate the cost of materials labor equipment and other expenses associated with each project. Prepare detailed pricing proposals based on the cost estimates taking into account factors such as profit margins overhead costs and market trends. Collaborate with sales teams designers engineers and project managers to ensure that pricing proposals align with client requirements project goals and company objectives. Identify potential risks and uncertainties in project plans and propose strategies to mitigate risks and ensure project success. Liaise with vendors suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes negotiate pricing and secure timely delivery of materials and services. Maintain accurate records of project estimates pricing proposals contracts and other relevant documentation in compliance with company policies and procedures. Stay updated on industry trends pricing benchmarks and technological advancements to improve estimating processes and enhance overall efficiency. Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Construction Management Engineering Business Administration or a related field. Proven experience as a Project Estimator in the construction furniture manufacturing or related industry. Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of building codes regulations and construction methods is preferred. Certification in estimating (e.g. Certified Professional Estimator) is a plus.
