Required to effectively cut or punch various types and gauges of metal. Must demonstrate the ability to accurately interpret drawings in order to attain required tolerances and part quality expectations. Must work independently at machines detecting errors in operation machine malfunctions and raw material variances while complying with volume and product flow requirements. Perform all necessary laser set-up changes such as lens cleaning nozzle cleaning and alignment daily gas beam purging and as necessary the switching of cutting gases. Conduct all required punch and die tooling changes when operating turret punch machine. Insure proper tooling alignment and document tooling locations on the turret positioning board. Review tooling quality and provide all necessary tool sharpening by using tooling grinder provided. May be required to perform other duties with in cutting cell such as removing parts from laser skeletons and deburring items as identified per print and routing specifications. Work from verbal and written instructions drawings established specifications and documented procedures. Inspect work by using prescribed measuring instruments to ensure quality standards are maintained and parts meet print standards. Must comply with production quantity standards and workflow requirements. Must perform work with minimal supervision. Requires the ability to help train other operators and to maintain the flow or processes of work within a group. Maintain and lubricate department equipment as required by a regularly scheduled PM program. Use equipment in a proper and safe manner and maintain housekeeping standards in accordance with company polic Available shifts Shift Timings 1st Shift - Day Job requirements Requires 2-3 years of previous job experience and some specialized training. Must have the mobility and strength for lifting average to heavy weight components as necessary. Physical strength evaluation testing may be required.
