We are currently seeking full time Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) - in Accokeek MD 7am-7pm. POSITION SUMMARY Provides prescribed medical treatment and personal care to individuals. Administers specified medication orally or by using subcutaneous or intramuscular injection notes time and amount on individual s charts and adhere to the policies and procedures of Anna Healthcare Inc. within the standards of the District of Columbia Nurse Practice Act and Title IXX. QUALIFICATION Education High school diploma or equivalent [GED] Two [2] years completion of a school of Practical Nursing Required Licenses A current state license issued by the District of Columbia Board of Nursing and MD Board of Nursing Current adult CPR First Aid Certification Possession of a valid driver s license from state of residence Experience Minimum of two to three years or more hospital experience nursing home experience or rehab experience. Previous experience working with persons with Intellectual and other Developmental Disabilities is required. Knowledge Skills Ability Clear verbal communication with the ability to read write and comprehend each individual s medical needs Ability to work with persons with a variety of permanent disabilities and medical conditions Knowledgeable of medical terminology and the ability to maintain detailed and accurate medical records Proficient in standard nursing procedures Ability to work as a team member Basic computer skills Physical Requirements Ability to lift push or pull up to 60 lbs stoop kneel and reach.
