CUSTOM CUT CEDAR PINE AND HARDWOOD SIDINGCustom Cut Lumber From Our Logs or Yours 1x12 and 1x10 pine boards with 3 or 4 inch batten siding is one of our most popular requested items. Rough cut siding provides a unique rustic natural look. The piny woods of East Texas grows some fine quality large pine trees. Local hardware building supply yards do not stock this in demand product line but we are pleased to offer it mill direct to the public. Pine SidingPrices start at 50 a linear foot for 1x10 Pine boards and 75 a linear foot 1x12s. Batten strips cost 0.60 a board foot for 1x2 1x3 or 1x4s ( 10 15 or 20 a linear ft)Siding is also available in sizes of 1x8 and 1x6 boards.Our board and batten lumber is generally cut green (wet) and is installed right away. The lumber will shrink after drying for a few months. Some people install the boards and then later when things have dried they nail up the battens. Others tack the battens on half way nailing only to one of the boards and when everything has cured they nail on the other side of the batten to securely bridge the gap between the two boards. As the pine lumber cures the sun changes the color of the wood from a white to a sunny yellow. We can sand or plane the boards for an extra cost if you desire. Types of siding we supply We cut Pine Oak and CedarSome types of siding are produced with our four head molder jointer- Lap siding (also called bevel or clapboard siding)- Board and Batten Siding- Half Round Slabs- Rustic live edge siding- Shiplap Siding- Tongue and Groove Siding- Log Style Siding- Skirting for trailer or mobile manufactured home- Interior Wall Paneling- Wainscoting-- You are welcome to bring us your own logs and we will cut them for you. We charge 0.35 a board foot for straight standard sized pine 0.40 a bd ft for cedar and 0.50 for oak. We can cut any species and are able to cut bent logs for a higher cost. We have a band mill that can cut 30 inch logs that are short all the way to 32 feet long. Instead of board foot price we also can cut these normal sized logs for a customer at 100 an hour. We have a specialty wide throat band mill that can cut 46 inch wide logs. This allows of us to cut large and odd shaped logs that are up to 14 feet long. We charge 150 an hour to cut customers logs with our wide throat mill. We charge 30 if a blade hits metal in the log. We have other mill equipment as an industrial production scragg mill circle saw resaws and board edgers for processing lumber. We also can resaw used reclaimed and salvaged beams into dimensional lumber. The lumber is cut rough cut. We can plane sand or send your lumber through our wood shaper molder for an additional price.
