A well-established aerospace engineering company specializing in integrated products and spaceflight hardware development services is seeking a Reliability Engineer to develop reliability engineering designs and programs. REQUIREMENTSBachelor s degree in related field Ten years of experience in engineering design with reliability. Aerospace experience is desired. Provide Reliability Engineering for design and build of space flight hardware Create FMEA s fault-trees critical analysis and reliability predictions for large structural components associated with space flight vehicles. Draft failure mode and effect analysis sheets or formulates for mathematical models using computer-aided engineering equipment to identity units posing excessive failure risks and support proposed changes in design. Analyzes engineering-design concepts to recommend design or test methods for attaining or improving specified operational reliability using knowledge or reliability engineering and other technologies. Analyzes preliminary engineering-design concepts to recommend design or test methods for attaining customer-specified operational reliability using knowledge of reliability engineering and other technologies. Analyzes system and subsystem level design and calculates cumulative effect on final system reliability of individual part reliabilities. Enters data to simulate electrical inputs transient conditions temperature stress and other factors to develop computer models and analyzes and adjusts design to predict and improve system reliability Must be willing to travel to northern Alabama on a regular basis.
