Pastry Cook - The Westin St. Francis Responsibilities include This is an opportunity to work with one of the best hotel pastry teams in the city of San Francisco led by Executive Pastry Chef Jean-Francois Houdre Experience in a large production facility such as a bakery restaurant or hotel in a fast-paced environment. Ability to produce European-style desserts made from scratch including macaroons truffles all sweet dough brioche mousses plated desserts custards for example. Must have excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills with the ability to follow provided pastry recipe. Must be detail-oriented have good communication and interpersonal skills. Be able to work as a part of a team. A pastry culinary degree is a plus Follow all company policies and procedures including safety and security report accidents injuries and unsafe work conditions to manager complete safety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional maintain confidentiality of proprietary information protect company assets. Speak with others using clear and professional language and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
