If you are providing care for a senior citizen or adult with disabilities who receives Medicaid you can receive compensation through the Monitored In Home Caregiving program. The program is for seniors and adults with disabilities who are currently receving Medicaid and approved for services under the Community Choice Wavier program. It allows a an indivudal to choose a caregiver of their choice to provide daily personal care assistance. The caregiver and client must live in the same home on a full time basis. The caregiver receives compensation ongoing support and training by a care manager and registered nurse.
