Responsibilities Job will consist of manual grinding with pneumatic die grinders welding operating cranes using hand and power tools & fabrication Will require assembly try-out finishing and fine-tuning of stamping dies for the automotive industry Finishing and tryout of drawing dies Will perform preventative maintenance on dies and die modification May carry out emergency repairs if any issues arise Good teamwork organization and communication skills Required Qualifications Journeyman tool and die maker Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in manufacturing and try-out of automotive dies (line dies for transfer presses) Will require extensive travel to support our clients at press shops and die making companies in the US and Canada Reading technical drawings Knowledge of sharpening and polishing dies Able to work independently and effectively with minimal supervision Adjusting tooling including adjusting vacuum suction cups May require daily and weekend overtime.
