An Akron Ohio based full service architectural and engineering design build consulting firm is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support on-going growth of the firm.REQUIREMENTSBSME is required. An active Ohio P E License is strongly preferred 8 years minimal doing mechanical engineering consulting work for a variety of industrial projects Manufacturing Power Plants Chemical Rubber & Plastics Oil & Gas. Must be interested in growing in to a managerial role. Previous supervisory experience desired but not required. MS Office (Word Excel Outlook) experienced Knowledge of AutoCAD and or Revit (BIM) Duties Develop technical solutions of assigned projects including field observations and evaluations Research and collection of data to be utilized in developing technical solutions Schedule engineering and design services Coordinate and review project specific work efforts of others such as drafters designers and engineering positions. Mentor drafters designers and level 1 engineers. Check engineering calculations performed by others Check engineering drawings and specifications for errors technical content omissions and coordination with project. Assist supervisor with staff assignments to ensure that production goals are met. Serve as Lead Engineer of designated projects as required. Application of engineering principles through participation in the collection and analysis of data and the initial preparation of designs and reports.
