PART-TIME RETAIL SALES CASHIER CLERK FOR SMALL SPORTING GOODS STORE IN RENO Small Retail Sporting Goods Store in Reno is looking for a Part-Time Sales Cashier Clerk. Initially needs 3-4 days per week with potential to increase days hours if candidate is successful at sales. Job Functions Sell store product to customers- Discuss and make sales of items to customers in the store. Cashier and Writing up Sales - Ring up items sold to customers using cash register (not point of sale) and write up sales in clear handwriting in sales receipt book. Organizer and Merchandise- Keep counters display cases display racks etc. clean and organized. Move merchandise around store to increase sales activity and make up sales displays. Speak Clearly with Customers- Be a good listener and discuss items that customer would be interested in. Clean and Janitorial- Weekly cleaning the store (sweep dust mop) and dumping the trash will be necessary on a regular basis. Courteous and Professional Behavior- It is necessary that the employee be courteous and professional at all times with customers and co-workers. Requirements Sales Experience of at least 1 year (recent) required. Cash Register Experience of at least 1 year (recent) required. High School Diploma or GED Required. Must be able to follow instructions read documents printouts reports and other written communication. Must be able to hear and speak well enough to communicate with customers and co-workers. Must be able to stand and or walk to fill orders assist customers on the sales floor. Must be able to stock inventory at various racking levels using step-stool or ladder etc. Must be able to place product on off trucks shelving etc. Must be able to write clearly and use cash register merchant servicing machine fax machine and phone system. Because we are a smaller retail store we do not wish to have our business interrupted with phone calls or interviews at the store.
