Our client located near Augusta Maine is seeking a Senior Accountant reporting directly to the Controller and responsible for providing oversight and leadership of its accounting department. Responsibilities include Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable Payroll General Ledger and Job Costing developing various financial month and year end close reports and maintaining documentation on the company s accounting policies systems and procedures. Must possess outstanding technical accounting analytical problem solving organization multi-tasking communication and supervisory skills. Solid understanding of GAAP is required. Experience in the construction industry is a strong plus. Advanced skills in MS Office and accounting software is required. Familiarity with Sage Timberline software is a strong plus. Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance and a minimum of five years of related experience including some cost or project accounting in a large company environment is required.
