Broad Design and Engineering Experience with Windows Server (2003 2008 2012) Active Directory DNS DHCP Windows Clustering PKI and relevant training or certifications MCSE or MCITP. Experienced in PowerShell and other scripting programming languages. Good understanding of related storage and network technologies Ability to operate in and respect of least privilege security model Experience integrating with non-MS technologies like VMWare ESX OpenStack etc. Vendor agnostic Cloud Experience preferred Client is looking for vendors to provide technical subject matter experts to assist in ServerNext initiative to develop secure supportable and manageable operating system and management ecosystem cable of hosting business workloads designed to run on Microsoft 2008 R2 and 2012 R2 Operating system. The ecosystem should also facilitate the ongoing Cloud capable lifecycle management of the platform. Design develop and implement the Windows Server images (2008R2 & 2012R2) to meet client specific requirements that includes provisioning configuration management security software deployment core OS features 3rd party ecosystem application integration such as anti-virus backup agents etc. Gather business security and functional requirements. Ensure technical and security design requirements are incorporated in to production implementation. Design engineer and deploy Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows Server 2012 R2 (Standard and Core) images including AD integration. Design engineer and deploy new 2012 AD environment including migration methodology and tools from existing 2003 AD environment. Design engineer and deploy new PKI environment. Develop task sequence and Windows Server deployment methodologies for physical and virtual server deployments. Engineer and implement client s security requirements to harden the Windows Server operating system image(s). Design engineer and implement MS and 3rd party management eco systems (e.g. provisioning patching logging monitoring software deployment) Integrate management eco system solutions into the existing client Manager of Managers (e.g. Monitoring Logging SW deployment etc.) Prepare and support Lab Sandbox QA and Prod testing for the technical implementation. Test and validate all solution components in Lab Sandbox QA and Production as appropriate. Work with application owners to incorporate their requirements into the Windows Server image(s) and or Group Policy settings. Prepare and conduct Unit Integration QA and UAT testing for production deployment. Creation of documentation such as requirements design migration guides build books run books etc.. Develop security and technical design artifacts for production implementation (e.g. Security control checklists). Knowledge transfer to the client s staff.
