This position assists the Aquatics Manager in coordinating and instructing American Red Cross Lifeguard Training classes including First Aid CPR-ProRescuer AED Oxygen Administration and Bloodborne Pathogens. Instructs courses as regularly scheduled by YWCA Aquatics Department including LGT Review Courses and Waterfront LGT Module Instructs course reviews for staff in-service trainings Assists Aquatics Manager with necessary ARC course record processing Exhibit personal and professional behavior in a manner consistent with the best interest of the YWCA Qualifications Education Experience Instructor experience at least 2 courses Licensing and or Certifications Current certification in LGT LGT-Instructor First Aid CPR-Pro-Rescuer AED Oxygen Administration and Bloodborne Pathogens Knowledge American Red Cross Procedures SABA (ARC Data Base) Skills and Abilities C C Capability to work independently. C C Decision-making capability. C C Proven communications (verbal written listening) and interpersonal skills. C C Exhibit leadership C C Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service. C C Ability to work with a diverse group of members and staff. Physical Requirements The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position also requires the individual to be a strong swimmer as they have to demonstrate course materials and skills. Travel Travel between the Ridgewood site (112 Oak St.) and all office and programming sites of the YWCA Bergen County. Hours Tuesday to Friday from 5 30pm to 9 30pm.
