Related training education or experience required for most positions. Per Mar will train Security Officers and Special Events Staff. GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB The purpose of this position is to safeguard the Clients assets and diligent and dependable in discharging assigned duties. Security Officers are to be receptive to the Clients needs observantly survey the Clients premises use its professional presence to deter unlawful or undesired acts and report security activities in a timely manner. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1. Assist visitors and serve as concerned public relations representatives. 2. Protect personnel on the premises. 3. Serve as a deterrent to persons intent on committing criminal acts including vandalism. 4. Protect proprietary and classified information. 5. Look for and report potential hazards. 6. Restrict access to authorized people. 7. Watch for use of illegal drugs and consumption of alcohol. 8. Perform all Post Order duties as specified in the Per Mar Post Orders. 9. Perform hourly patrols of the client location. 10. Report all hazards incidents on the job injuries and maintain all daily security logs and reports as required by Per Mar Post Orders. 11. Possess a thorough knowledge of basic security officer duties as described in Post Orders. 12. Wear the full and properly maintained uniform on all assignments. (No non-issue items may be be worn without General Manager approval) 13. Carry or wear on your person state security license and Per Mar ID card. 14. Adhere to all Per Mar policies and procedures. 15. Maintain a clear driving record for any positions that involve driving company or client vehicles. 16. Adhere to be aware of and follow all safety policies and procedures. 17. Wear and maintain appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as outlined for the position and follow all PPE policies and procedures. 18. Regular and consistent attendance of designated schedule. 19. All other duties as assigned by Shift Site supervisor client or General Manager.
