As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic you will be trained to provide superior maintenance service on equipment such as bulldozers backhoes excavators rock trucks front end loaders farm tractors and WM company vehicles. We care about the safety of our employees and show it by demanding solid safety practices of all our Technicians.You will be utilizing engine diagnostic equipment (computerized test equipment calibration devices) to identify and diagnose equipment defects. You will have the opportunity to diagnose and repair differentials hydraulic systems motors transmissions drives air-conditioning systems and electrical systems while servicing and maintaining other equipment such as light plants water pumps and welders.You will be responsible for scheduling maintenance services for industrial machines and equipment keeping equipment service records and effectively completing daily equipment inspections.Interested Here s What You Need - Must be a licenced 421A Heavy Duty Equipment Technician with the Ontario College of Trades with membership in good standing. - Ability to work effectively and efficiently both independently and in a team environment. - Ability to complete given tasks in a timely fashion and possess self-motivation characteristics. - Comfortable working in all outdoor weather elements this role is performed in the maintenance shop as well as the active landfill. - Must have a valid G class licence and own transportation. - Able to provide own tools to perform the job.Benefits & Perks You will receive a total compensation package including a competitive hourly rate excellent medical dental and vision benefits paid vacation time and ample paid training.
