Previous experience with ERP system as well as inventory and warehouse organizational skills. Assist the Shipper in daily weekly activities to ensure shipping deadlines are met. Be back up for Shipper during vacation and other absences. Maintain knowledge of various modes of shipping and determine the best and most cost-effective method of shipment or follow customer s specifications. Contact truckers for pick up. Make up boxes and pack product in specified manner ensuring product will not be damaged during transit. Weigh-count product and check purchase order to ensure proper quantities of product will be shipped. Pack orders for future shipments. Process orders following specified procedures. Make up bills of lading. Operate Pitney Bower UPS shipping systems keying in shipping and invoicing data as appropriate. Use label and stencil machine to make specialized labels and bar codes. Ensure correct routings and that all packing requirements are met. Maintain accurate and complete shipment records. Perform cycle counts of finished product. Assist the Receiver in daily weekly activities to follow prescribed procedures to receive all incoming materials. Use forklift hand truck pallet jack ladder and any other equipment to obtain and move material as needed. Use weigh scales and calculator to verify materials and quantity against purchase orders. Perform visual inspection of material and document damaged or non-conforming material. Complete all paperwork and log into computer. Deliver office and non-inventory items to appropriate locations. Assist in loading and unloading trucks. Ensure stock is put away in proper warehouse location. Performing staging of material for production using production schedule to ensure proper material and accuracy of material transactions. Responsible for Kanban board for raw materials dispositioning of raw material for scrap or sale. Perform cycle counts of raw materials. Investigate inventory discrepancies or variances. Ensure efficient operations and maintenance of accurate inventory of raw materials and finished goods. Maintain adequate supplies of materials required in the warehouse and requisition purchase materials and supplies as needed. Comply with all safety rules and procedures during the course of duties. Steel toed footwear required. Perform general housekeeping duties. Institute and maintain 5S in Warehouse Shipping area. Work regularly involves continuous visual acuity and mental attention to perform shipping and receiving operations. Color determination finger dexterity and eye hand coordination are also required. Work requires moderate physical demand moving about bending and exerting 25-60 pounds of force frequently or occasionally lifting or moving heavy weight material.
