Precision Medical is looking for an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team of dedicated and skilled healthcare professionals. We are located in the Provo Downtown area and provide Urgent Care Family Practice and other services to our patients. DESCRIPTION Welcome patients in person or on the telephone. Prepare patients for for the examining room. Provide instructions for the examination and or treatment Arrange and clean the examining room instruments supplies and equipment. Verify patient information. Take vital signs temperatures etc. Help health care providers during examinations. Perform basic laboratory tests. Authorize drug refills as directed telephoning prescriptions to pharmacies. Perform tasks such as draw blood remove sutures change dressings etc. Enter information in our EMR system. Assist Billing by entering billing information of services provided as needed or as requested by the Billing Department. Keep supplies stocked by placing orders and verifying receipt information. Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions troubleshooting breakdowns maintaining supplies performing preventive maintenance calling for repairs. Maintain safe secure and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures complying with HIPPA regulations. QUALIFICATIONS Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette Must have Clinical Skills Procedural Skills Documentation Skills Verbal Communication Inventory Control Planning skills. Must be Dependable and able to work in a Teamwork environment. Attention to detail is a must as well as a proactive approach to job assignments. Medical assistant certification is required.
