Our client is a well-established Major Canadian Bank looking for a Trade Support Specialist (Equity Trade Support & Finance Industry Exp) Location Downtown Toronto Duration 6 Months contract position with possibility of extension JOB DESCRIPTION Fulfill routine and frequently non-routine transactions internal business partner and or external customer inquiries requests and or reconciliation activities and solve more complex issues efficiently and effectively in accordance with Bank and industry standards. Follow procedures to resolve internal business partner and or external customer inquiries requests and issues. RESPONSIBILITIES Accountable for the execution of day-to-day Global Middle Office Equity and Financial Products Trade Desk Support activities in accordance with firm and industry standards and regulations. Leverage product knowledge and critical thinking skills to effectively support the resolution of issues participate in projects and initiatives that impact the group support the introduction of new products and processes suggest process improvement opportunities and provide assistance and support to other Global Middle Office team members. Accountable for the development and maintenance of excellent working relationships with Capital Markets Trading Products desks external clients and Product Operations personnel Requirements University degree college diploma or equivalent work experience 2 to 3 years of related experience. Good knowledge of standard desktop applications used by the business unit Good knowledge and understanding of the business unit s key products and services processes and controls. Good knowledge and understanding of the business unit s key products such as cash equities equity and index options equity and index futures convertible debentures ETFs and warrants processes and controls. Good understanding of the business unit s risk and regulatory requirements Good knowledge of departmental systems and applications previous experience with Fidessa Imagine and or ADP would be desirable. Knowledge of back-office operations including trade settlements is an asset. Good understanding of internal business partners business services and organization Good knowledge of departmental systems and applications. Basic accounting and financial reporting background is an asset. Strong problem-solving skills. Strong prioritization skills. Strong investigation skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to details. Strong customer service and relationship management skills. Strong conflict management resolution skills.
