Trend Offset Printing located in the city of Los Alamitos CA has an immediate opening for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our talented Maintenance department in our Industrial Printing Production Warehouse.We are a family owned Full Service Printing Production Warehouse Company. We offer medical dental vision 401k and life insurance benefits.The Maintenance Mechanic is a 12-hour shift classified as hourly therefore the first 8 hours are paid at your regular base pay and the last 4 are paid at an overtime rate.This job pays depending on experience as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic.Must be able to work 12-hour shifts.Must be flexible to work swing shift or night shift.Must be able to work weekends.Must be able to work on holidays.Must be have experience as a Maintenance Mechanic(Preferably with a printing industry background)Bilingual English Spanish is a huge plus but is not required.Must be able to pass a pre hire physical drug test.No Sponsorship offered with this job Local CA candidates only please.POSITION SUMMARY Perform work involving troubleshooting repair installation calibration and maintenance to keep machines mechanical equipment or the structure of the establishment in repair working order.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform electrical mechanical maintenance of production equipment. Perform electrical mechanical troubleshooting calibrating and repairs in response to equipment error or failure. Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment (such as die cutters web and sheet-fed presses inserting machines folders conveyor systems bindery equipment etc.) in accordance with diagrams sketches operation manuals and manufacturer s specifications using hand tools and precision measuring and testing instruments. Repair or reproduce parts using welders or machine tools such as lathes milling machines drill presses surface grinders or other machine shop equipment. Perform general plant maintenance inside and outside facility. Assist contractors with specific projects. Log and maintain inventory records of machine parts tools and maintenance supplies. Log and maintain preventative maintenance and maintenance request records. Must follow all company policies and procedures as specified in the departmental SOP s and in the Employee Handbook. NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Perform other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED High School diploma or its equivalent3 years previous work experienceBasic computer skillsPLC Programming knowledge and DC ControlsDemonstrated experience in mechanical electrical and preventative maintenance systemsQUALIFICATIONS DESIRED Vocational Trade School Certification Degree5 yrs work experience in print packaging manufacturer industryKnowledge of all electrical (low voltage DC Single phase three phase etc.)Working knowledge of DC Drives and controlsPLC Programming knowledge Seimens Rockwell Automation Texas Instruments SLC500 GE FANUC
