Our client a small company in the multi-media theater space located in Nashua NH is seeking a self-motivated Engineering Assistant to serve as an electro-mechanical bench technician and provide general engineering support in a dynamic engineering environment. Responsibilities include Electrical and mechanical prototype and low volume assembly and repair work including final test and troubleshooting (thru-hole and SMT). Bench tech work including wiring racks and panels electronic troubleshooting repairs and ECO s. Kitting for product builds. Obtaining and processing quotes for parts and supplies placing and reviewing orders working with Engineering Customer Service Sales and outside vendors. Entering and maintaining manufacturing bills of material labor routing and component part data within the Company database (ACCPAC). Compiling and creating engineering and manufacturing documentation in accordance with Company procedures. Assisting the Engineering Customer Service Field Service Shipping and QC departments. Must be willing and able to serve as backup for various departments and travel (domestic and international) for Field Service as needed. Strong communication multi-tasking and time management skills will be essential in this position. Strong technical aptitude (electrical and mechanical) computer skills (basic IT networking and ability to use MS Office) and the ability to maintain project records and documentation is required. Must be able to read and interpret electronic schematics and board layouts. Previous experience using a 2D and or 3D CAD software package is a plus. Minimum of an Associate s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline with 0 to 3 years of experience is required. Entry level recent college graduates are encouraged to apply.
