Life Dome Adult Services is a non-profit organization. We provide various community services to the underserved community and persons with mental health diagnosis. We have recently added children services and provide the children and families with the extra support needed as specified by their MSC s. We are licensed thru the office of OPWDD. We serve children and adults with developmental disabilities and provide person-centered focused services that respond to the needs of our individuals and their caregivers.Our agency is seeking multiple Direct Support Professionals Bi-lingual The role of the DSP is to provide the support needed by families during afterschool hours to care for the children. Services are provided in home or community so willingness to travel is essential. High School Diploma is required. Having prior experience with children is a plus but not a requirement.The DSP responsibilities include Respects and maintains customer confidentiality. Provide In-Home Respite maintain safety and security of clients follow established procedures in case of emergencies Intervening in situations where the client may be endangering himself herself or others. Assists individuals as needed in all activities areas of daily living and personal care needs. Prepare and serve meals when appropriate and specifically asked for by the family. creating a safe supportive friendly and engaging environment free from extreme emotional distress through the promotion of a non-judgmental disposition Follow all specified policy and procedures for managing behaviors emergencies and reporting incidents. Accompany and advocate for the client when in the community as needed Act as a role model for the client by appropriate behavior and offering assistance as indicated in Individual Service Plans.
