The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year s experience of working with children in a child care facility and will have completed the Florida Department of Children and Families State Mandated 40 Hours Training. Applicants will also be required to pass a background check. Duties include Ensuring the health safety and development of the children in care. Ensuring that the classroom environment is safe clean and conducive to learning. Tracking the attendance of the children Following the approved classroom curriculum Timely and appropriate lesson plan preparation Completing regular developmental screenings Recording weekly developmental observations Identifying and referring children suspected of developmental delays Compiling developmental portfolios. Toilet training and diaper changing Conducting parent conferences Educating parents on issues relating to child development. Applicants must be prepared to work between the hours of 8 00am and 6 30pm
