As a newer agent I had expected a harsh sales environment where every man is for themselves and you learn by being thrown to the wolves. So naturaly I began my career with a guarded mentality and questioned the motives of everyone around me. Each day I showed up at the office expecting that I would have to fend for myself and I would be best served by staying out of the way of others. I figured if I showed up at the office I would learn not by individual support but by observing those around me and taking notes.
