The group is considered one of the pioneering Fusion acts in Kolkata s Fusion music scene. Rudraksha Band is a rock and roll band from Kolkata, India. They have several live performances and cover numbers to their name. The band was officially formed on 16th December 1999 in Kolkata. The word Rudraksha, also Rudraksh, Sanskrit: Rudrākṣa ( Rudra s [Shiva s] Teardrops ), is a seed traditionally used for prayer beads in Hinduism. The seed is produced by several species of large evergreen broad-leaved tree in the genus Elaeocarpus, with Elaeocarpus ganitrus being the principal species. in Sanskrit. Their music is flavored by a blend of blues, rock and Rap fusion rock along with fresh talented vocalist. Like most other bands, Rudraksha Band performs in three languages like Bengali, Hindi and English. After 2014 it?s considered as one of most popular band in Kolkata, West Bengal India. Regularly performs in overseas Rudraksha Band are an Indian alternative rock , rock and roll, of blues, rock and Rap fusion rock band formed in West Bengal, Kolkata India in 1999, and known for their three languages (Bengali, Hindi and English) lyrics. The band is currently composed of Tanmoy Acharjee (Drummer& composer), Daniel (Rapper, backing vocals & composer), Sujoy (Guitar, backing vocals), and Rehan (Keyboards).
