Paid Research Study OIFOEF Combat Veterans

OIF OEF Combat Veterans What is Moral Injury Research Study Purpose of the Study I am a doctoral student in clinical psychology at Antioch University Santa Barbara and I am researching the concept of Moral Injury in combat Veterans for my doctoral dissertation. Moral Injury is thought to come about by the very act of engaging in war. It is not PTSD. There has been no research study to date that has asked Veterans directly about their experience of Moral Injury. Moral injury has been described as taking actions failing to act witnessing or learning about acts that directly violate personal values or beliefs of what is right and wrong. Who is eligible Male Combat Veterans of OIF and or OEF What will you be asked to do Spend approximately 1.5 hours total on 3 separate occasions One approx. 10 minute telephone screening One approx. 20 minute preliminary meeting and One approx. 1 hour one-on-one interview with me Be willing to talk about your experience of Moral Injury Compensation Your participation is appreciated and at the end of the Interview Session you will be compensated 40 Your participation in the study will be confidential If you have questions or are interested in participating please contact Margie at 310-663-2371 or email Moral.Injury.Research(at)gmail.com for more information and eligibility screening.
