Reports To Board of Directors Classification Exempt Description Reporting to the Board of Directors the Executive Director will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for Community REACH s staff programs expansion and execution of its mission. S he will initially develop deep knowledge of field core programs operations and strategic plans. The Executive Director will provide leadership to the organization at the forefront of the industry and will advance Community REACH s mission and objectives to promote revenue profitability and growth as an organization. SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHIP Ensure ongoing local programmatic excellence rigorous program evaluation and consistent quality of finance and administration fundraising communications and systems. Recommend timelines and resources needed to achieve the strategic goals of the agency. Actively engage and energize Community REACH volunteers board members event committees partnering organizations and funders. Lead coach develop and retain a high-performance management team. Ensure effective systems to track progress and regularly evaluate program components so as to measure successes that can be effectively communicated to the board funders and other constituents. Provide leadership and direction to all executives and ensure the continued development and management of a professional and efficient organization. Cultivate a strong and transparent working relationship with the board and ensure open communication about the measurement of financial programmatic and performance goals. STRATEGIC VISION Collaborate with the founder and the board to refine and implement a strategic plan while ensuring that the budget staff and priorities are aligned with Community REACH s vision mission and core values. FUNDRAISING AND COMMUNICATIONS Expand local revenue generating and fundraising activities to support existing program operations and regional expansion. Deepen and refine all aspects of communications from web presence to external relations with the goal of creating a stronger brand. Use external presence and relationships to garner new opportunities. DEVELOPMENT Ensure that the flow of funds permits Community REACH to make continuous progress towards the achievement of its mission and that those funds are allocated properly to reflect present needs and future potential. Formulate and execute comprehensive marketing branding and development strategies that will ensure consistency throughout the organization and enhance revenue from major donors foundations government agencies and corporations. STRENGTHENING INFRASTRUCTURE AND OPERATIONS Ensure the delivery of high quality services while managing for current and future growth. Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration and strengthen internal communications with staff throughout the organization. Create and promote a positive multicultural work environment that supports consistency throughout the organization s strategy operational methods and data collection needs. Oversee the financial status of the organization including developing long and short range financial plans monitoring the budget and ensuring sound financial controls are in place. Set financial priorities accurately to ensure the organization is operating in a manner that supports the needs of the program and staff. PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT Rationalize the delivery of programs through new and existing offices and partnerships. Increase efficiencies and consistency throughout the organization by developing and implementing standardized programs services and program office marketing. Minimum Qualifications Knowledge Minimum of a BA BS ideally with an MBA MPA or related advanced degree At least 15 to 20 years of overall professional experience Skills & Abilities Excellence in organizational management with the ability to coach staff manage and develop high-performance teams set and achieve strategic objectives and manage a budget Track record of effectively leading an organization and staff ability to point to specific examples of having developed operational strategies that have taken an organization to the next stage of growth Outstanding presentation and communication skills Strong commitment to the professional development of staff successful track record of recruiting and retaining a diverse team Strong leader with the ability to set clear priorities delegate and guide investment in people and systems keen analytic organization and problem solving skills which support and enable sound decision making Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people Unwavering commitment to quality programs and data-driven program evaluation Action-oriented entrepreneurial adaptable and innovative approach to business planning Passion idealism integrity positive attitude mission-driven and self-directed Additional Requirements At least 18 years of age Willingness to work diverse schedule hours and days Current negative TB (Tuberculin test) Acceptable criminal (State and County) history background checks Relationships This position works closely with the founder to cultivate new and existing relationships with the Board of Directors. This position has daily direct contact with employees funders individuals receiving services their families case managers other service providers and community partners. Collaboration with diverse groups of people is essential.
