Responsible for the electrical aspects of design development and manufacturing by performing the following duties. Performs design of equipment controls and drafting for current and future projects. Researches and specifies components using internet and catalogs for each project. Meets with client to review project status. Advises electrical production to ensure work is performed in an accurate manner and provides technical support as needed. Performs final check out and inspection based on client s needs. Prepares layout drawings for assembly and manufacturing of products. Collaborates with Director of Engineer to determine equipment design. Performs other drafting tasks as assigned. SolidWorks Software experience is required. Qualifications To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or two to four years related experience and or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. HVAC controls design a plus. Ability to write reports business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers clients customers and the general public. Math Ability Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts interest commissions proportions percentages area circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra geometry and Ohm s Law. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully an individual should have knowledge of word processing software spreadsheet software design software and internet software. Specialized or Technical Training 2D and 3D CAD (computer aided design) AutoCAD Solidworks Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
