Location Gamma Dr. Pittsburgh PA Department 5200 Reimbursement Operations ManagementDescription The Manager of Business Process Improvement is responsible for identifying scoping planning and executing transformational projects for Reimbursement. The Manager will support the delivery of medium to large scale projects that improve processes provide efficiency enhance the control environment support business growth activities and implement new technologies. This is a high visibility role which will require the ability to work cross-functionally with other departments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Serves as the liaison between the customer community (internal and external customers) software development teams technology teams and operation teams through which business requirements flow Oversees end to end deployment and implementation of new technology introduced to Reimbursement. Leads a team of Business Process Analysts primarily responsible for delivering the following output Functional requirements (Business Requirements Document including business processes) All activity related to prioritizing business requirements Test plans and or test cases (help translate functional requirements specifications into working test plans and or test cases) Oversees the Reimbursement Training Team to ensures all reimbursement processes align with training and development needs for Intake Compliance Appeals Reorder and Billing Manages external vendor relationships for Reimbursement as applicable to process improvement Regularly conducts process gap-analyses and makes executable recommendations for overall improvement within Reimbursement Develops and provides project status reports to senior and executive management Responsible for developing and revising departmental SOP s as needed Advocates for Reimbursement software improvements that are needed to improve workflow efficiencies (i.e. ZOB LVN R T etc.) Facilitates and leads project status and process improvement meetings (including the preparation of agendas presentations and meeting minutes) Develops and communicates project scorecards and presents Stakeholders and Process Owners Perform other duties as assigned by Management Supervisory Responsibilities Yes Qualifications To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Educations and or Experience 3 to 5 years of experience managing and delivering process improvement projects 1-2 years of experience interfacing with and presenting to C-level executives General understanding of medical billing processes and procedures required to adjudicate medical claims Can successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously Have strong analytical and data analysis skills including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally Expert knowledge using Microsoft Office Suite and Visio required 1 year managing external vendor relationships service levels and contracting Bachelor s Degree required (in Business Engineering or Healthcare Administration preferred) PMP Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma or Lean Certification highly preferred Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers clients and other employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
