These auxiliary units have annual sales of approximately 37 million and include approximately 176 full and part-time employees. Reports directly to the Vice President for Administration and Finance.RESPONSIBILITIES To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Hire supervise and direct all Auxiliary Enterprises managers and directors assigned as direct reports. Serve as the contract manager between the University and external business entities contracted to provide core business functions within Auxiliary Enterprise operations. Collaborate with all divisions and departments on campus to enhance the student experience in and out of the classroom. Facilitate collaboration among Auxiliary Enterprises departments to create more on-campus internships and hands-on work experiences. Serve on selected University and divisional committees. Prepare various reports and documents and oversee departmental reporting requirements. Develop and monitor the annual Auxiliary Enterprises operating budget. Develop and monitor financial information and other performance reports for assigned areas including budgets forecasts scenario modeling and financial statements. Work with managers and directors for all Auxiliary Enterprises to develop short and long range goals and objectives business plans budgets and assessment instruments. Coordinate Auxiliary Enterprise marketing plan development and execution in concert with University Advancement and Marketing. Ensure compliance of policies and procedures for purchases of goods and services employment of full and part-time employees contracts budget constraints and transfer of funds among accounts. Ensure that various reports such as Auxiliary year-end reports are completed timely and accurately. Provide guidance to operational directors and managers to optimize financial resources and increase customer satisfaction. Perform reviews of internal accounts for compliance with accepted policies and procedures as requested. Analyze annual departmental inventories. Verify account balances and assure that each operation maintains a positive fund balance. Monitor and assess resource utilization for each enterprise. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Master s degree in Business Administration or related field or Bachelor s degree with a preference for a major in Business Administration or related field and four additional years of related experience. Minimum Seven years relevant management experience in operating business units including supervisory and fiscal responsibilities.This is in addition to the work requirement in the education section.Demonstrated ability to manage a large and diverse employee base develop and analyze financial information and direct revenue-generating activities.Must possess comprehensive management skills including communication and interpersonal skills supervision and budget management.Must be proficient using electronic spreadsheet software.
