Refurbished functional hand-held Spyglass. Based on the design and materials used it was likely built for the Marine Corps or Army during WWII. What makes it different is the size (18 closed x 1 ) with a single draw tube which extends 3 and has a fine focus adjuster. It appears to be about 20 power which is very powerful for having a small aperture. It main brass tube has been line wrapped and the focus adjustment scale still has the original dark green military paint. The two end caps and eyepiece appear to be Bakelite and the focus assembly appears to be aluminum. Because of the high power and small diameter you most keep it steady to hold a clear view. It focuses OK but the lenses could stand a cleaning. This rare spyglass is in good condition considering its advanced age.
