OSHA Training - 30 hr Construction Safety Course including EM 38

This training is for construction contractors supervisors and Site Safety and Health Officers (SSHO) overseeing federal construction or renovation contracts. Course addresses OSHA s 30-hr Construction Safety and Health topics and also includes additional requirements contained in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers EM 385-1-1 Safety and Health Requirements Manual. Most Federal Government construction and renovation projects require contractors to comply with EM 385-1-1. The EM requires compliance with OSHA construction standards but adds additional safety and health program requirements for federal contractors specific safety training and safe procedures for certain tasks and operations. The EM requires that contractors appoint a Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) who as a minimum has completed the OSHA 30-hr Construction Safety Standards training. This course meets and exceeds the requirements for training for the safety professional SSHO project managers and supervisors and workers for U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and other federal construction projects. Participants who attend this training will receive an OSHA 30-hr Construction Safety card and will understand common requirements of both OSHA construction standards (29 CFR 1926) and additional requirements of EM 385-1-1.
