Pensacola Country Club Event Planner Club Overview The Club is a grand and historic Club founded in 1902 and located only 4 miles from the center of downtown Pensacola. The Club has 500 total members. The Club membership is truly caring and kind they are both philanthropic and business leaders of our city and the south. They love the Club and respect and value our staff. Our staff members are well trained and care deeply about the success of the club. The club offers a safe healthy positive work environments for staff members to have the ability to thrive in their profession. Only 5% of our members live in the neighborhood in which the Club is located. With no member homes on our property our Club is a truly private destination Club not a neighborhood Club. The average member commute to the Club from their home is 15-20 minutes. We operate under a COO concept where all 8 department heads report to the COO. Our Board is a truly visonary and they do not get involved in the daily operations of the Club. Event planner is a department head at our club. Our Club is a teaching and training facility for our management staff. We pride ourselves on having a very strong student program (from Universities) as well as staff development and training programs. Job Description Our event planner works in conjunction with our talented food beverage and service team to exceed member s expectations each and every day. We want our members to be raving fans . Each staff member is keenly focused on five star personalized and professional service. With social graces dedication finely tuned attention to detail experience and creativity our event planner plans weddings birthdays business meetings children s parties anniversaries tournament social functions holiday parties and more. From a Member seated three course dinner for over 100 to a 200 person business conference to a birthday party for 15 six year olds to a Wedding reception for 300 our event planner assists members in planning a variety of events. Our talented event palnner also plans our Club-sponsored events such as a gourmet wine dinner a golf tournament cook-out to an elegant holiday festival complete with children s entertainment for 200 members and guests. We continue to set ourselves apart for the quality of food service and facilities that we provide our members and guests. Our Club strives each and every day for a positive work environment for our dedicated hardworking fun-spirited team members. Reports to General Manager Dress Our Club is a very conservative environment. Our Department Heads wear conservative business attire at all times. Our goal is to exceed Member expectations providing superior service quality facilities and lasting memories. Candidate Qualifications Must have a college degree (hospitality major a plus). Must have interned and or worked in a private club or hospitality venue and have food and beverage employment history. The qualified candidate must be honest respectful dedicated ethical and caring with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Must be able to climb stairs and lift up to 35lbs daily. Our event planner must be able to handle a fast paced high end sophisticated environment. Strong communication skills are crucial. Being a good listener and communicator are critical in planning flawless memorable events. Our event planner cares deeply about making raving fans thus the cadidate should be highly motivated and must always make each and every member s experience special. The desire to learn and improve daily as well as never be satisfied with mediocrity is a key component to our success. Some nights weekends and holiday work are part of our event planner s schedule. A typical work week is 45-50 hours however the club values your ability to enjoy personal time with your loved ones and encourages you to take your vacation. The qualified candidate must have exceptional commuication skils be detail oriented and have strong follow through skills. Confidence is important as our event planner must never shy away from member contact or seeking new member business.
