Administrative and Community Relations Coordinator

Girls Incorporated of Greater Santa Barbara a nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring all girls to be Strong Smart and Bold seeks an experienced dependable professional for Administrative and Community Relations Coordinator full time position reporting to the Executive Director. Position responsibilities include general administrative office and reception duties organizational communications amongst and between staff members board and committee members volunteers partners and the community at-large coordination and management of organizational volunteers serve as primary administrative and community relations support to Executive Director including specified board member communications and tasks support of organizational marketing and public relations efforts including advertising and quarterly newsletter production administrative support of organizational fund development activities including database management donor funder acknowledgement letters electronic communications to database grant contracts events accurate financial and data entry etc. support of organizational electronic representation (website social media etc.) and support staff with various administrative work as needed. Candidate must have strong interpersonal written and oral communication skills at least five years General Office experience excellent computer skills (Word Excel In-Design etc.) knowledge and experience in public relations and volunteer coordination and management be a resourceful creative self-starter and problem solver possess a firm understanding of systems and processes be skilled in working with a diversity of persons able to facilitate cooperative work and support the Girls Inc. philosophy and purpose. Additionally knowledge of and experience with database management and social media preferred.
