Job Ref 1854 Location Stevens Point Wisconsin Relocation Yes Salary Great Salary Based on candidate Summary We have this for Stevens Point WI but could consider someone in Madison WI or Minneapolis MN. We need someone with electrical estimating experience or a graduate from an electrical apprenticeship program. This position is responsible for forecasting costs for potential field projects under the guidance of a Senior Estimator Estimating Supervisor and or Regional Estimating Manager. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1. Reviews specification information and other documentation to prepare time cost materials and labor estimates. 2. Organizes bid components to ensure accuracy and completeness. 3. Performs takeoffs on blueprints (i.e. circuiting and scaling drawings counting devices and equipment etc). 4. Consults with clients vendors foremen superintendents and project managers to discuss and formulate estimates. 5. Confers with engineers architects owners contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates. 6. Finalizes and follows up on completed bids. 7. Attends job site walk throughs with Senior Estimator and or Estimating Supervisor as necessary. 8. Achieves 4 000 000 year in awarded jobs. 9. Performs other related duties as required and assigned. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE 1. A Bachelor s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical training and one to two (1-2) years of electrical estimating experience or 2. Completion of an Electrical Apprenticeship Program or equivalent work experience (8 000 hours) and one to two years (1-2) of electrical estimating experience or 3. Any appropriate combination of education and experience as determined by management. COMPUTER SKILLS Must be proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite (Access Excel PowerPoint and Word). Experience in Accubid is preferred. OTHER REQUIREMENTS Strong mathematical skills are required. Knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC). Bottom line 1.
