There are no houses or cars in your view just the ocean mountains pastures deer sheep donkeys and birds pure serenity The Corey House was built and designed in 2006 by the original previous owners Alex & Cathy Corey solely to be an uncluttered peaceful and tranquil vacation home. And that wonderful couple succeeded tenfold This roomy 1500 square foot home sleeps up to six with two bedrooms and an open library with a sofa bed. The master bedroom features a Cal King bed TV walk-in closet and a fully tiled shower for two. The other bedroom has a queen bed and tiled shower with bathtub. The bedrooms are on opposite sides of the house and each has its own deck. The marble gas fireplace sound system in each room and lights with dimmers throughout the house set the ambiance for sheer bliss. There are five separate decks over 900 square feet in all. You can also relax in the very private five-person outdoor spa right outside the master bedroom slider and gaze at the stars or enjoy the sight and sounds of the ocean The beautiful and private 6-mile Irish Beach is just a few blocks away one minute by car and a pass key for the gated entrance is included in your stay.There are so many activities restaurants beaches art galleries hiking areas botanical gardens shops and scenic views to take in stretching from Gualala to Fort Bragg and all in between. The interior of the home was extremely nice and the views were even better than advertised. The surrounding towns provide all the necessary amenities including great little restaurants to catch a bite to eat. The private access to Irish Beach was incredible and the overlook just a few short minutes from the house provides some of the best sunset views I ve ever seen. We re so happy we did. We are delighted to find such a lovely home that is pet friendly. We loved the serenity of the area the beautiful views from the home the wonderful private beach & of course the Donkeys . The home is very clean & tastefully decorated without clutter. The owners also have generously & thoughtfully stocked the pantry. The only reservation we have (this may be individual to us) we found master bedroom mattress lacked the comfort we are used to. The home was comfortable and tastefully decorated and thoughtfully designed. We came here for my husband s birthday and it was an ideal sanctuary for a relaxing weekend away. The view was incredible. The home was very well stocked with everything you could possibly need to cook with. The furnishings and bed were extremely comfortable. Alex and his wife demonstrated incredible hospitality with detailed instructions and guides to the area. We are already talking about when we can return. Highly highly highly recommend this house. (Side note we came here just the two of us but this home is ideal for one or two couples or a small family). Finding a great house that also allows us to travel with our pets is challenging. The Corey House was the perfect match Beach access was easy and the low attendance made it even better. I enjoyed three mornings running the beach with no one around. Our dogs frolicked in the ocean and had a ball. The details about the house were extremely helpful. Alex was very easy to work with. We had a third couple join us for the last couple of nights. The house was wonderful. We felt right at home from the beginning. Even with six adults and two dogs we never felt crowded. When you first walk in you notice the view the ocean and the mountains are beautiful. All of the beds and furniture were super comfortable. Alex and Cathy go out of their way to make sure your stay is flawless. It is awesome to go away on vacation to a beautiful destination and feel like you are home. The Corey House has all the amenities you would have in your home well equipped kitchen well stocked bathrooms comfortable beds and couches television DVD stereo WIFI and laundry room. The four decks each have chairs to enjoy the fresh ocean air and scenery. The hot tub is especially nice after diving for abalone in the chilly Pacific Ocean. Sitting in front of the fire with a cup of coffee watching the fog roll in off the ocean was absolutely the most relaxing part of my trip. The neighborhood was very quiet and we enjoyed taking walks around it in the mornings. The beach access was perfect we maybe saw a half dozen other people there combined on our five or six visits. The Manchester area is one of our favorites on the north coast. My wife said this was the best birthday ever. We are already looking for excuses to return even if just for a long weekend.
