Dear Preschool Families I would like to welcome you to Brookline Kids Preschool My name is Mrs. Alonna Murray and I am the new director at Brookline Kids Preschool. It is a pleasure to work here and I look forward to working with your children. For those of you who know me and those of you who do not I would like to give you a little background about myself. I have had an interest for the welfare of children at an early age. As a teenager I babysat as well as assisted at my formal church for infants through school age. As a young adult I achieved my Associates degree and a certificate for Early Education and Childhood Development was a one year old teacher for three years and occasionally taught two year olds through preschool. Currently I am a youth leader at my new church for teenagers as well as a two-year-old teacher. I really enjoy what I do The Preschool teacher is Ms. Ashley E. and she has been working in childcare for 13 years. She is very pleasant and loves to bring a smile to the children s faces. Ms. Ashley W. is the teacher of the Extended Care program. She has been with us for a few years and was previously a Art Teacher Assistant for K-8th grade and was also a Youth Counselor for 7th-9th graders. She is very knowledgeable loves to do creative projects with the children and is very respectful to the children. There may be a substitute teacher in the future. Our Preschool Program is broken up into two different sessions. The morning session is from 8am-11am and our afternoon session is from 11 30am-2 30pm. Only one session is needed because the same education and activities are covered in both sessions. Two meals will be served at both programs and there will not be a naptime. We are no longer partners with Head Start therefore we have some changes in our tuition. The cost of a full-time ( 4-5 days a week) preschool session is 20.00 a day and the cost of a part-time (2-3 days a week) preschool session is 25.00 a day. You may also see if you qualify for CCIS which will help you with tuition if you qualify. Also if you are currently receiving government assistance please contact your case worker first. If you do not qualify for CCIS and need assistance your child may qualified to be sponsored. Please ask Ms. Alonna or Ms. Ashley W. for details. Sponsorships are scheduled to end December 2013. If further care is needed for your child we also have Extended Care. The Extended Care hours are from 7 30am-5 30pm. The prices for Extended care are 32.00 for full-day ( 5 hours and up) and 25.00 for half-day ( 4 hours and under). Your child is unable to be sponsored for Extended Care but is able to be funded by CCIS if you qualify.
