A nice example from this important Impressionist era artist portraying one of his most popular themes dancers in Paris. Jean-Louis Forain was one of the most important artists in France during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. His friend Degas got him interested in ballet and its dancers and patrons as subjects for his art. Framed size 21 inches H x 15-1 2 inches W (53.3 cm x 39.4 cm). Framed in a French style antiqued gold frame and matted in off-white linen matting with antiqued gold fillet. Completed with a UV-resistant acrylic cover.
